# Voltaire

Cardano has transitioned from several phases into the final phase of the Cardano network through the Chang update. Voltaire, an era ushering the community into a self-sustaining governance system, where every ada-holder can submit a governance action or participate in governance voting. <br>

### Key Features Of Voltaire&#x20;

* On-Chain Voting - ada-holders can propose and vote on actions that shape the future of the Cardano Network.
* Treasury System - A self-sustaining treasury system is made available to fund ecosystem projects and development activities ratified through on-chain voting.
* Network Participants - ada-holders, Delegated Representatives, Stake Pool Operators, and Constitutional Committees (all introduced in the second Chang updates) can use their voting rights and stakes to influence decision-making.
