# Delegating To DReps

Find and delegate your Ada to active DReps through the Govtool DRep directory, community governance dashboards wallets.

Similar to DReps, delegators are an important part of the governance system. A delegator (i.e., any Ada-holder) has a designated role using the Ada voting power to support Cardano’s liquid democracy by delegating voting power to a registered DRep(s). 

The role of a Delegator should not end simply by delegating ada voting power. As an active participant in governance activities,  all delegators must; 

* Choose DReps to delegate to based on merit, expertise, and active community participation.
* Demand rationales from DReps who only vote YES or NO without providing reasons
* Contribute in off-chain conversations, i.e., asking questions and raising concerns about governance decisions where necessary.

Download any Cardano wallet with governance functionality. E.g., Eternl wallet app or browser extension

From the wallet app dashboard, navigate to Governance, found in the left navigation pane on Eternl and Yoroi wallets. Then click on “Governance” to open a new page&#x20;

On the governance page, you can browse the DRep list, delegate to a DRep, view proposals, or cast votes, depending on the wallet used.

To delegate your Ada to a DRep, view the DRep list on Eternl and delegate to the selected DRep. Or click on “delegate to a DRep” on the Yoroi wallet, specify the DRep ID, and delegate.&#x20;

## **Choosing The Right DRep**

Consider the following factors when deciding on who to delegate your vote to;

* **DRep Values** - What do they stand for, and how would that reflect in voting activities&#x20;
* **Voting History** - Check past voting rationale given by DReps on proposed governance actions
* **Vote Impact** - Are you delegating to whale DReps? Is your delegated voting power capable of making any impact within the ecosystem?
* Explore tools like Govtool, Tempo, or Eternl to compare various DRep profiles before delegating votes.
