# Creating DRep Metadata

The standard DRep metadata structure to follow when setting up a public DRep profile.

## DRep Metadata

In CIP-1694, optional data submitted on-chain by DReps to provide extra context about themselves typically follows this structure;

* Name
* DRep Bio *(optional)* provides context about DRep
  * Objectives
  * Motivations
  * Qualifications
  * Link
  * Social identity
  * Metadata URL

## **How To Create A Professional DRep Profile**

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

### **Individuals Profile**

Individuals refer to a single person registered account, who represents personal interests (and interests of delegators) during voting and decision-making.

Set up your DRep profile by providing the necessary information in each form field

* Provide your DRep name or recognizable alias in the “required field.”
* In the optional fields (about you section), you can fill in with your Email, Bio and Social media contact.
  * Use a valid email address
  * Provide a detailed summary of your background, objectives, motivations and qualifications

{% hint style="info" %}
Edit Profile Info

From the dashboard - ↖️click on “view your profile details” on the card titled “You are Registered as a

DRep” to edit

{% endhint %}
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Group/Organizational Profile

Groups in this context refer to multiple registered DReps, typically organizational DReps, who make team-focused decisions in governance and voting, and represent the interests of ada-holders, who most likely are whales in the ecosystem.

When creating an organizational DRep profile, you’ll need to;

* Connect a multisig wallet address (see compatible wallet list)
* Decide who controls the DRep ID for the entity
* Establish an organisational structure and voting scheme (e.g., all proposals require 2-3 signatures), depending on the number of team members
* First, visit [gov.tools](https://gov.tools/), click “connect wallet” and proceed to the dashboard
* Click on “Register as a DRep” and fill in your Metadata in the form fields
* An organizational profile metadata should include:
  * Official name
  * Website/social proof
  * Outlined team structure
  * Detailed summary
    {% endstep %}
